Secure Online Payments in Nigeria

All payments on PBridge are processed by Flutterwave, one of Africa's largest payment processors. Flutterwave is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and complies with PCI-DSS Level 1 standards — the same security standard used by banks and Mastercard/Visa themselves.

This means your card details are never stored on PBridge servers. They go directly to Flutterwave's secure infrastructure, are encrypted, and processed through standard banking rails.

• Debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Verve (all Nigerian banks) • Credit cards: International and local • Bank transfers: Direct to your PBridge order reference, all major Nigerian banks • USSD: Pay from your bank's USSD code (*737#, *894#, etc.) • Bank account direct debit: Authorize one-time charge from your bank account • Pay on Delivery: Available for select vendors in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, and Ibadan

When you pay with a card on PBridge:

1. Card details enter Flutterwave's secure checkout, NOT PBridge's servers 2. All data is encrypted using bank-grade TLS encryption (256-bit) 3. Your card is verified through 3D Secure (OTP from your bank) 4. Card numbers are tokenized — even Flutterwave doesn't store full card numbers 5. Fraud detection runs on every transaction in real time

For bank transfers and USSD, you're using your bank's own infrastructure — PBridge never sees your bank login credentials.

This is rare, but if it happens:

1. Check your order status — sometimes the order is processed even if the page shows an error. Check pbridgemarket.com/orders

2. If the order is missing, contact support immediately at [email protected] with your card transaction reference

3. We investigate with Flutterwave within 24 hours. Failed charges that didn't result in an order are refunded automatically by Flutterwave within 24-48 hours

4. Successful charges with missing orders are reconciled and the order is either fulfilled or refunded based on what's easier

Both PBridge and Flutterwave run real-time fraud detection on every transaction. Suspicious patterns (e.g., orders from new accounts with mismatched billing/shipping addresses, rapid-fire orders from the same card) trigger automatic review.

Legitimate orders go through smoothly. Suspicious orders may be held for verification — we email you within 24 hours to confirm the order is genuine before processing.

Pay on Delivery (POD) is offered for select vendors and products in 5 major Nigerian cities. When available, you pay cash to the delivery person upon receipt.

POD orders are still tracked in PBridge — you see delivery status, can chat with the vendor, and can refuse delivery if the item is wrong. After POD, the payment still goes through PBridge's ledger for record-keeping, but funds settle differently than online payments.

Note: POD removes some protection (you can't inspect for 7 days), so for high-value or high-counterfeit-risk items, online payment with full escrow is recommended.
